Tuesday 22 July 2008 - Quick Update
Work on the book as you may
have guessed is a bit behind, I did hope to have the proofs back in
for checking but I'm still wading through the 12,000 plus images,
plus we have had few extra motorsport events up here recently.
At this stage I'm looking at having the proofs early August with the
books being sent at the end of August beginning September. We
also have a few orders from whom we cannot match to a car, we are in
the process of contacting these people.
I do apologise for the
delays, and thank you for your patience. The book is looking
really good, below here are a just a couple of screen shoots from
the book. Please feel free to contact
us if you need further information.

Thanks again.

Sunday 1 June 2008 - Progressing well
Work on the book is
still progressing well, although we are running a little behind
schedule due to our overseas trip and a few other motorsport events
up our neck of the woods. Word of the book is getting around
too, we have had orders from motorsport enthusiasts both locally and
overseas.
You can still order the book
on our book web site (www.motorsportbooks.com.au)
its just we can no longer guarantee that your car will be included,
although we are endeavoring to include most competitors.
Soon we'll paste a link to
some of the galleries that contain images that will be in the book.
Feel free to
contact us for further information.

received today, what this means is all the orders to date we
guarantee your car will be included within the book. We are
still accepting orders for the book and will for a long time, but no
guarantee you are in it (although as we said before we are
endeavoring to include most cars). Thanks for keeping an eye
on this web page, any questions please feel free to
contact us.

Orders for our book have
been coming through nicely, thank you to those that have supported
us and the VHRR, we have some time up our sleeve before the proof is

from the weekend so we have extend the pre-orders (and this will
have to be our last extension on it) to Friday 11 April - you
can order online here
www.motorsportbooks.com.au or still use the glossy flyer sent in
the Supp Regs or that were available at the circuit over the race
weekend.
The book is progressing
nicely and we will have the timeline up on this page in a few days,
plus a some new image galleries.

a special chapter in the book. There are two galleries with
290 images in total.

More galleries will be
posted soon, we have some absolutely amazing images for this special
book, pre-orders close soon, you will be able to order after this

March 2008
Well the weekend has come
and gone, with the most amazing historic racing event I have ever
been to, a real credit to the VHRR and all those involved, there was
an incredible array of motorsport history on display and racing.
Great to see the overseas entrants and congratulations to not just
the event winners but all drivers and teams.
We shot in excess of 12000
images over the 4 days we were there! Now we have to whittle
that down to fit the 160 pages of the book, that'll be reasonably
easy as those that have pre-ordered will definitely be in the book,
so are you going to be in it - pre orders NOW close
Tuesday 25th March that's been extended just over a week for
those who need to travel home overseas etc before they can order.
Haven't ordered yet - you can here:
www.motorsportbooks.com.au
So what & who is going to
be in it? The following chapters will be included:
|
Regularity - both 1 and 2 |
The
Whoops Files - off track excursions!!! |
|
Formula Junior |
Groups Sa, Sb & Sc |
|
Sports Cars (Q, R & Invited) |
Groups J, K, Lb & Invited |
|
Historic Touring Cars Under 3L |
Formula 5000 & Invited Cars |
|
Historic Touring Cars Over 3L |
Groups M & O Sports and Racing |
|
Group A & C Touring Cars |
80th
'AGP' Cavalcade - all 80 cars !! |
| &
other images from around the circuit and Cowes |
|
So what happens now?
Well we start processing our
digital images, we sort them according to the above categories, we
then pick the "whoops" files out, and all those that have
pre-ordered we find the best images of you for inclusion, then the
tough stuff starts and we begin to put the book together. We
are endeavoring to include every entrant in the book but there's no
guarantee unless you have pre-ordered as above.
Soon we will create a
timeline so you can track the books progress on line. We will
also start a few image galleries of photos that will be included in
the book.
Additional Updates will be
posted here, so don't forget to bookmark this web page. Also
you'll be able to order our images as digital images or printed
photo's, we'll post more info soon.
Updated 1 March 2008
The VHRR have commissioned Digital Realism
Motorsport Photographers to produce a very unique keepsake of this
years Phillip Island Classic Race Meeting. Last year we
produced a fantastic limited edition book for the QLD Historic
Racing Car Clubs 30th Annual Historic meeting at Morgan
Park Raceway. We also produced our
own end of year glossy hard cover book from the many race meetings
we attended during the year.
The Phillip Island book will be a huge
160 page 8"x10" full
colour hardcover book that will capture
the special moments of this years event. We
will guarantee your car will be included in the book for anyone who
pre-orders & pays. You can
order the book here,
right now!
For those that don’t have
internet, an order form will be included
with the events Supplementary Regulations due out soon, plus
orders will be taken at the VHRR marquee at the event.
