This week I decided to pay a visit to the ruins that is Lakeside International Raceway, I took a few snaps so those that
have special memories of early racing can see how it stands today. My first visit here was about 6-7 years ago
I believe this must have been around the time it was being closed? I was over from NZ on work and during a
weekend off I decided to come out and take a look, so in the rental car I tootled out, the gates were open so I went on
in, there were a few workers on site but that's about all. So I did a few "hot" laps in the rental, actually not that hot,
in fact damn slow compared to the past racing history.
In this gallery you'll see how run down it has become, lets hope somehow someone will get off their butts and get
the place at least halfway back to its former glory, - we can only hope.
